Keith Hutchinson has worked as a planner for almost 40 years, becoming Principal Planning Officer and Head of Development Control at Huntingdonshire District Council before setting up Huntchinsons, in 1991.

Keith’s work in both Local Government and private practice has given him a very wide range of experience in dealing with all types of planning and enforcement related issues, concerning residential, commercial and agricultural developments.  He provides advice on planning potential and the promotion of sites to achieve planning permissions or allocations through the Local Plan process.  His clients include large companies, landowners and private individuals.  Over the years he has appeared regularly representing clients at appeal hearings and inquiries and LDF examinations.

Keith’s recent cases include the promotion of large scale housing and industrial sites in Cambridgeshire, acting as planning advisor to the Environment Agency in respect of a major flood alleviation scheme, and appearing at a successful appeal hearing with costs, at a enforcement case relating to an industrial site in the Hertfordshire Green Belt, together with obtaining planning permissions for various commercial and residential proposals.

Outside the office, Keith’s interests include playing golf and supporting Leicester City Football Club.  He is past Chairman of Kimbolton Parish Council and is currently Vice Chairman.
